EMMA traces its roots back to 2010, when a group of passionate event professionals came together to form the Event Managers Alliance. United by a shared vision, they focused on providing education and career development opportunities in the field of event management. In 2022, the organization evolved to become the Events and Meeting Managers Alliance, embracing a broader industry focus and shifting organizational priorities. This rebrand marked a new chapter in our mission to better serve a diverse and growing membership.
Today, EMMA is led by a dedicated team with over 20 years of experience in creating innovative, practice-based education and training programs. Through this work, we provide our members with the resources, guidance, and support they need to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
